The subject is Juneau, Alaska. The client wanted shades of green, yellow light and pink fireweed. The client mentioned that they had seen there, among other things, a brown bear, orcas, a bald eagle, moose and seals, most of which I chose for the work.

The requested color scheme is based on the palette of one of my previous works (light pink, beige, white), but with more contrast. I added a slightly brighter pink and a softer dark brown instead of black, which the client originally suggested. The theme is a forest, with animals including a fox, swans, and two deer in the style of the Deep in the Forest painting.

As the name of the work suggests, a bright, hopeful work for a psychotherapist's reception room. On the customer's wishlist had a forest landscape, various animals and birds, maybe a gate and a path, light reflecting from behind the trees.

Magical Lapland

The hope was a semi-abstract work with "the atmosphere of a winter fell night. The animals could be a detail that you only notice when you look a little closer. The animals could be a husky dog, a barn owl and a jackal." In terms of tone, a light snowy landscape and a dark sky where the shades of the northern lights could be seen. There was also a hint of pink.
